چکیده
Soft soils are expansive soils, also referred to as tropical clay. soil may cause instability foundations thereby reducing their service life, this necessitates the adoption of a suitable stabilization method in order improve engineering properties soft soils. This research work aims at comparing strength stabilized using two different agricultural wastes- Bagasse Ash (BA) and Rice Husk (RHA). The studies were conducted determine natural treated oxide composition BA RHA evaluation effect (0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 12 % by dry weight soil) on index soil, determination characteristics (proctor compaction , unconfined compressive (UCS), California bearing ratio, (CBR) under soaked unsoaked conditions) with mixtures, optimum blend both needed for clay comparison stabilizing agents performance soil. From test results, it was observed moisture content be 18.02%, indicating that material is relatively high water holding very low porosity specific gravities 2.66. maximum density (MDD) increased higher an lying between 8-10% MDD continuously decreased addition OMC increase, increase possible percentage increment 11.20% increases 16.2%. leads consequent CBR value 9%. obtained 10% 28.72%. UCS change 630% 91.41% respectively while increments 619.8% 85.23% recorded thus improved better although smaller addition.

Soil Stabilization using Rice Husk Ash and Cement
Soil stabilization has become a major issue in construction engineering and the researches regarding the effectiveness of using industrial wastes are rapidly increasing. The present experimental work briefly describes the suitability of the locally available Rice Husk Ash (RHA) to be used in the local construction industry in a way to minimize the amount of waste to be disposed to the environme...

This paper presents the findings of a study on solidification/stabilization (S/S) of lead-contaminated soil using ordinary Portland cement (OPC) and rice husk ash (RHA). The effects of varying lead concentrations (in the form of nitrates) in soil samples on the physical properties of their stabilized forms, namely unconfined compressive strength (UCS), setting times of early mixtures and change...
متن کاملEvaluation of Coal Waste Ash and Rice Husk Ash on Properties of Pervious Concrete Pavement
The use of pervious concrete has been significantly considered in recent years. This consideration is due to the properties of pervious concrete in relating to the environmental sustainability that is utilized in the effective management of the runoff from rainfall. Coal extraction and rice husk obtained from milling, produces wastes that have no application and followed by environmental pollut...
متن کاملComparison Between Paper Sludge And Rice Husk Ash As A Stabilizing Agent For Soft Soil
Soil stabilization is the alteration of property of locally available soil to improve its engineering performance. Stabilization can increase the shear strength of soil and control shrink – swell properties of soil, thus improving the load bearing capacity of a sub grade to support the pavements and foundation. The objective of this paper is to expose the possibilities of paper sludge and rice ...
